Banapark
A Banana Park is been set up at Industrial Growth Centre, Matia to facilitate value addition and marketing of Banana fresh and Banana derivatives. The main component of Banana Park Project is going to be a Common Facility Zone based on which around 20 processing units could be set up inside the Park. Banana Export Development Centre Assam endemically and abundantly grows different varieties of banana. A Banana Export Development Centre is being set-up in the State to encourage commercial cultivation of banana and to facilitate production of fresh and processed banana.
